V&A Memory Palace

In a collaboration between Sky Arts : Ignition and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, FleaFolly designed a ‘Palace of Memories’ to house the works of 20 different artists, typographers, illustrators and graphic designers who each responded to an original piece of fiction by author Hari Kunzru. Grand arches, representing the last vestiges of a dystopian vision of London surround the viewer to create a multidimensional set of spaces that spatialise Kunzru’s text. FleaFolly were responsible for developing the design, creating construction drawings and tender packages whilst working closely and in collaboration with the Victoria & Albert Museum, the numerous artists involved and the various contractors and sub-contractors across all stages of the project.
